First impressions were that the packaging was quite cute. I like how they have so much variety in their face masks with each
one having a different benefit. I bought the pearl, placenta, collagen and hyaluronic acid versions. I put them in the fridge for a few days because it was quite a hot day when they arrived.
The first mask I used (and the last...!) was the pearl one, and the first thing I noticed was that it smells really strongly. It might be a bit off putting if you don't like strong perfumed scents. It also might irritate your skin, especially since you have to keep it on for around 20 minutes. There is enough gloopy, gel-like essence on the mask to cover your face and neck, and the sheet fits nicely onto my face with minimal crinkling.
After only five minutes, my face started tingling and I don't mean that in a good way!! I got a bit worried because it didn't feel comfortable at all. I thought it was because the sheet was made out of slightly unrefined cotton which made it a little bit rougher than pure refined cotton. I stuck with it for the 20 minutes recommended because I thought maybe it was just
how the product worked. Honestly though, I couldn't wait to remove it from my face! After 20 minutes I peeled off the mask which was still a little damp and tapped in the extra essence left on my skin. For all the painful tingling, I didn't notice any difference in my skin at all, which was a shame. It didn't feel moisturised, just a bit sticky for a few minutes, and it didn't look any brighter. A couple of days later I noticed a few small, red spots emerging on my cheeks and forehead... I don't usually get spots so I knew this was the bad reaction to my skin that I was worried about!! It took me over a week to calm my skin down and reduce the redness (I used Cosrx snail essence to help with this). My skin has been a little more sensitive than usual because of this mask, which is stressful. I have learned my mistake and I will not be buying these again!
